68th Annual Debutante Ball "A Celebration of Grandeur & Grace"

Welcome to our special funding site for the 68th Debutante Ball hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Beta Omega Chapter and the Ivy Community Service and Education Foundation, Inc. (ICSEF) in Kansas City, Missouri. This year our theme is "A Celebration of Grandeur & Grace". For the past 68 years, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has presented the Debutante Ball as a means of encouraging high scholastic achievement among young ladies. This special program is part of the sorority’s effort to award scholarships to individuals who have shown outstanding achievement in academics, leadership, and service, as well as, to provide a forum through which they can explore various career opportunities. Since the first Debutante Ball was held in 1951, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has recognized over 1,900 outstanding young women and awarded over $1,400,000 in scholarships and book awards.

This year, we are proud to present 21 exceptional young women from various area high schools to participate in the 68th Debutante Ball. The Debutante Ball season begins in the spring with special programs, community service outreach, team building activities, and ball dance practices. It concludes in the fall with a grand finale presentation on the eve of November 27, 2020. Beta Omega Chapter, the oldest chapter in the Midwestern Region, is one of four (4) local chapters in the Greater Kansas City area. The Ivy Community Service and Education Foundation, Inc. (ICSEF) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit foundation incorporated in the State of Missouri. It serves as the philanthropic (charitable) arm of Beta Omega Chapter.
